Kate and Fraser's 'Third Time Lucky' Seaside Wedding in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts
Many thanks to my dear friend and former RIT cohort member Anna Solo, who is especially talented at capturing seaside magic, who spent the weekend with me on Martha’s Vineyard exploring and capturing Kate and Fraser’s beautiful day- many of these photos are hers!
Kate and Fraser booked me for their Martha’s Vineyard wedding all the way back in 2019, and in the time between then and now, they’ve gotten a dog, moved apartments, gotten married, and postponed their wedding twice as they many of their friends couldn’t get across the pond from England to the US due to Covid restrictions. Was it worth the wait?? 10000% yes- from the perfect weather to watching these two sweet, smiley people be showered with love by all the important people in their lives.
Martha’s Vineyard has been an important part of Kate and her family’s lives for pretty much ever, and it was a treat to photograph getting ready in the old stone house that has been the setting for happy memories for many, many decades now. For me, it was an opportunity to visit the island for the first time ever, and I learned about how special the blue September water and endless golden light is to everyone who falls in love with the island. Kate and Fraser found many ways to pay homage to the favorite places and people in their lives, from the bagpiper friend who led their procession of guests from the adorable church they were married in to the Vineyard Haven Yacht Club, where the party continued, to the Union Jack and American Flags hung on boats.
Soak in the last bit of summer with these photos as Kate, Fraser, and their guests did this weekend!
