One of my favorite moments of Allison and Elias’ wedding was watching Allison and her parents ascend the mountain via chairlift, to where her family, friends, and soon-to-be husband awaited her. While Allison’s parents aren’t skiers, they proudly accompanied their eldest daughter on her adventure to marry the man who introduced her to so many new and exciting outdoor pastimes, including skiing. As they escorted her off the lift and down the aisle, their three faces shone with happiness as they joyfully walked to meet their newest family member, Elias.
Another favorite moment was witnessing a few dozen members of Elias’ extended family dance a perfectly choreographed routine, led by his mom and sister, to Madonna’s Vogue , as a surprise. The wide smiles of each family member, from his youngest cousins to his aunts and uncles, as they enthusiastically flowed through each pose, was such a treat to everyone watching, myself included!
Allison and Elias are incredibly kind, thoughtful people, and watching their families surround and support them throughout their day made me realize where they’ve learned how to be such good humans.
