Marina and Rob's Windswept, Mid-Century-Modern Inspired Elopement in Wilmington, Vermont
Marina and Rob met in 2020, and say the pandemic helped them create a strong connection without distractions. “We couldn’t go on dates to concerts, movies, festivals…” said Rob “Instead, we had time to just sit and talk and get to now each other, learn what’s important to each other.” Marina and Rob are my favorite mixture of chill and passionate- little things don’t trip them up (such as 20+ mile an hour winds during their ceremony), and they spend their time up in Vermont creating, reading, exploring, and hanging out together.
While they both work in Boston, they call Vermont home, and what a super cool home they live in! Built by architect Myron Goldfinger in 1979, the house is full of spiral staircases, floor to ceiling windows, and wood paneling- the perfect palette for me to work with! We spent the afternoon exploring their house and collaborating on photos together before we headed to the lookout spot a few minutes from their home where they exchanged their vows. The wind and cold didn’t bother them one bit (though I think we all ran quite quickly to our cars and all sat on our hands for a few minutes afterwards!), and we all headed back to their house afterwards to celebrate with champagne and chocolate!
