Lauren and Brian's Dance-Forward Lakeside Wedding at the Lakeshore Village Resort in Weare, New Hampshire
I grew up dancing ballet- my mom was a ballet teacher and passionate about dance, and I find that influence often shows itself in my photography work and the way I pose and direct my couples. Lauren is also an artist inspired by dance- not only did she work for the Boston Ballet for most of her career so far, but she is also a dancer herself, and Jeff and I loved capturing this grace whether she was getting ready, taking photos with Brian, or on the dance floor. Brian is an artist and an art teacher, and as I’ve gotten to know him over the past two years, we’ve connected over design, memes, and his teaching style.
Lauren and Brian chose to host their wedding on the same lake where they first said “I love you,” and what a gorgeous place it was! Even with overcast skies and a rainstorm, the venue evoked a timeless, almost nostalgic feeling, and it was so much fun to explore the resort with Lauren and Brian and collaborate together. Everyone crowded the dance floor for a fun, pre-dinner dance party, and showed us their finest moves!
Finally, I loved watching how connected Lauren and Brian are with their families- they have so much love for their sisters, parents, and have all bonded together as a mega family now, swapping hosting duties over the holidays, and all dancing with each other at the wedding. Looking forward to hanging with Brian and Lauren again next time I’m in Boston!
