Sara and Jake's Colorful Industrial-Chic Wedding at Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, Rhode Island
For Sara and Jake’s wedding this weekend, I had the absolute delight of having one of my best friends, Andy, of Hayes and Baker Photography, working alongside me. Andy brought his easygoing personality, knowledge of the Providence/Pawtucket area, and gorgeous compositional skills to the team!
I first got to know Sara, Jake, and their families last summer at their intimate wedding in Mahwah, New Jersey, where they wore Luau attire, played wiffleball, and celebrated safely during the heat of the pandemic. They’re both constantly smiling, quick to laugh, and passionate about their hobbies. They chose to get married where they spent many a happy night at concerts while both attending the University of Rhode Island- the Hope Artiste Village. The concerted mill building now host artisans, events, weddings, and a bowling alley where Sara and Jake’s crew played some rounds and caught up with each other during the cocktail hour.
Instead of holding a second ceremony, Sara and Jake opted for a vow renewal, which felt like a cheerful play-by-play of their relationship of the past year, complete with roasts AND toasts. Guests enjoyed what was my favorite wedding meal in ages: a buffet complete with burger bar, mac n cheese bar, taco bar, and pretzel bar (seriously, all of my favorites) , then danced the rest of the night away!
