Emma and Harry's Casually Elegant Camp Wedding at Ohana Family Camp in Fairlee, Vermont

Emma and Harry’s wedding wasn’t just marking the beginning of their marriage, it was the celebration of a long, healthy relationship lived already. They began dating almost a decade and a half ago, when they were both still in the midst of high school. Emma and Harry have grown up together, tutoring each other in high school subjects, learning how to live long-distance in college, figuring out how to live together in their first apartment, and many years later, continuing to grow in love, life, and careers side by side. Throughout the year or so that we’ve been talking with Emma and Harry, we’ve loved watching the maturity of their relationship help tackle their wedding planning while their joy and youthfulness make hanging out with them so much fun.

Harry and Emma and most of their friends and family live in metro areas, including NYC, NJ, and DC, and they wanted to treat their favorite folks to a weekend without traffic jams or cell service, so they decided to host a totally un-conventional weekend at a summer camp in Vermont. We’re thrilled they chose our favorite place- Ohana Camp on Lake Fairlee, and that they asked us to photograph their weekend with square dancing, BBQ, bluegrass and soul bands, swimming in the lake, locally grown flowers, and a family-style dinner by candlelight. Everybody dove headfirst into the spirit of the weekend, and we loved being surrounded by exuberant guests on the dance floor both Friday and Saturday night as everyone celebrated. We’re excited to have gained two new friends in Emma and Harry AND that we got the chance to party it up with some super fun people.
