Gwynneth and Nolin's Mid-Summer Belated Wedding Celebration at Satoyama
*** A big thank you to my friend and talented photographer Kristy Burrell who accompanied me for Gwynneth and Nolin’s wedding and who is especially lovely at capturing the soul of her subjects in portraits ***
Gwynneth and Nolin planned and executed three wedding celebrations in as many different states over the course of two years- the first two were intimate celebrations on opposite coasts, and this final one was a straight-up party for all their favorite people at Satoyama Mountain Farm- a permaculture homestead with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. These two laid back souls decided to forgo a ceremony for this celebration and instead opted for a personal thank-you toast that included a tequila shots with all their older guests and a bracketed rock, paper, scissors competition where the winner’s table claimed the rights to go first through the buffet.
I’ve gotten to know Gwynneth and Nolin over the past two years, and have mostly seen their sweet, quiet sides, so it was extra fun to see them tear up the dance floor all night long, accompanied by A House on Fire, one of my absolute favorite bands to work with (and dance to)- this party was so fun and absolutely worth the wait!
