Ari and Ben's Mountain Glam, Garden-Inspired Wedding at Sugarbush Resort in Waitsfield, Vermont
***Fellow RIT graduate and awesome human Jessica Liggett second shot for me for Ari and Ben’s wedding this weekend, and we had a blast hanging on the lift, drinking cherry cokes, and capturing magic on the dance floor!***
The dance floor was packed, the band was rocking, and while all their guests were distracted on the dance floor, Ari and Ben snuck outside in the fading late summer dusk to play a quick game of catch with a frisbee. One of their favorite activities together is playing on an ultimate frisbee team, and the adventurous couple had regulation disks made with their wedding date as favors for their guests, and wanted to try them out before the night was over.
Ari and Ben have been dating for 8 years, and their wedding was a celebration of where they’ve come and who they’ve become together- strong, sweet, fun people with a bevy of friends, tight-knit family, and a love of skiing. They’re season pass holders at Sugarbush, and now, when they ascend Lincoln Peak on the chairlift, they’ll always be able to reminisce on the perfect-weather day where their favorite people gathered at the top of the chairlift to hear them say their vows and watch them smash the glass(es) to celebrate their strong union.
For those of you who follow this blog (and my personal instagram), you know I’m an avid flower gardener, so of course I was thrilled at the floral details Ari and Ben incorporated at their wedding- the most beautiful wild late summer blooms arranged by Erin of Nectar and Root were such a delight to photograph, and the name cards were lovingly created by Ari’s mom, using pressed flowers from her garden, and those of family members, created the most beautiful rustic mountain glam (as Ari’s cousins named her wedding style) present throughout the day!
