Hannah and Mike's "At Last!" Lakeside Wedding at Basin Harbor Resort in Vergennes, VT
I’ve been dreaming of working with Jeff again (all our weddings last year were too small to warrant two photographers) and photographing crowded dance floors for over a year now, so this past weekend when all my dreams came true at Hannah and Mike’s wedding, I kept getting those “this is happening!” kind of chills.
I think Hannah and Mike likely felt the same way. Until about a month or so ago, they were unsure what their wedding would look like and had to navigate state restrictions and communicate time and time again with their guests as rules shifted and eased. The end product? A 130 person wedding, with all guests vaccinated, and free to hug, dance, and party together as much as they wanted.
Hannah first visited Basin Harbor as a baby- it has always been the place her family has come to celebrate since her grandmother began the tradition by honeymooning there many decades ago. It was the perfect place to celebrate her love for Mike, the reunion of their families, and a much needed weekend by the lake.
Besides the excitement of getting to photograph a “back to normal” wedding, we loved photographing at one of our favorite venues, hanging with Hannah and Mike, who are simultaneously organized but down to earth and chill, dancing to live music, and taking in the stunning florals of the talented Blossoming Bough. WE’RE BACK AND WE’RE THRILLED!
