Alexa and Lenny's Classic Industrial Charm Wedding at the Heron Room in Baltimore, Maryland
***I was lucky to have long-time friend and very talented Baltimore-area photographer McKenzie of McKenzie Elizabeth Photography second shoot for me this weekend, and loved including her thoughtfully-composed photos in this blog***
Like many of our 2020/21 couples, Alexa and Lenny’s wedding came after many plan Bs and postponements, and they had to gracefully navigate each change that was thrown at them. Unlike most couples, they had to cancel their intimate wedding they had planned in lieu of their full wedding last year after Alexa caught Covid, and said their vows in their living room over Zoom. Fortunately, third time was a charm, and weather, details, and guests all came together perfectly for their big celebration this past Saturday including a beautiful modern arbor made by Lenny in their tiny garage, tequila shots during the ceremony and their favorite horn player serenading everyone during cocktail hour,.
Over the past year and a half, I’ve had a few great opportunities to connect with Alexa and Lenny, first through our sunrise engagement shoot at Fell’s Point last summer, then earlier this fall when we met for lunch near my home in Vermont. Laid-back, sweet, and quietly confident, both Alexa and Lenny have been so fun to get to know and collaborate with. They were also super sweet and invited me to their rehearsal dinner the night before their wedding, so I could experience one of their favorite haunts in Baltimore, and get to know their friends and family, which made me feel even more loved and welcomed!
