Shana and Tim's Timeless Golden-Light Wedding at the Pierce House in Lincoln, Massachusetts
***My good friend and former RIT photojournalism classmate Anna Solo joined me for Shana and Tim’s wedding, and several of her lovely photos appear in this blog post***
Sometimes, everything comes perfectly together on a wedding day, and I get to run around all day with a big smile on my face while capturing beautiful light and genuine moments at a lovely location. This was 10000% the case this weekend at Shana and Tim’s wedding, plus add in the fact that Shana and Tim are some of the least stressful and most fun people I’ve had the pleasure to work with.
Shana and Tim fell in love with the quiet streets and historic homes in Lincoln a while before they ended up finding a home there, and discovered the Pierce house when walking their dog, Rosie, through the grounds (which actually belong to the town itself). Their ceremony not only honored their close knit connection to each other, but also to their love of the area, as they had seven readings by Massachusetts poets and authors. They wanted a party that wasn’t just about the dancing, and had an espresso cart, waffle truck, and campfire complete with s’mores to give their guests plenty of options during the reception.
The leaves are long gone in Vermont, but it was a sweet surprise that they were at full peak in the Boston area for Shana and Tim’s wedding, and I was lucky to capture the brilliant color paired with golden light at this wedding which is definitely one of my favorites this year.
