Kelsey and Fred's Joyful Mud-Season Wedding at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Montpelier, Vermont
Jeff and I met Kelsey and Fred at Kelsey’s sister Kayla’s wedding last August, and we liked them immediately. Kelsey is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy, and makes it easy to fall into an interesting conversation right away. The best word to describe Fred is friendly- at his future sister-in-law’s wedding when he wasn’t on the dance floor, he was initiating conversation with total strangers, fully invested in learning their stories.
Working with two easy-going people and already knowing Kelsey’s close-knit family made us excited to photograph this first wedding of the year at the Capitol Plaza in Montpelier. Some of our favorite moments included Fred’s emotional reaction to seeing his future wife walk down the aisle (and all of his sweet happy tears shed throughout the day), the mercifully mild April day that allowed us to explore around the Capitol for photos after the ceremony, and Kelsey’s spirited niece, Rebecca, who had stolen the show at her other aunt’s wedding last year, and didn’t disappoint yesterday. Thank you Kelsey and Fred for giving us a fun start to the wedding season- we’re so excited for what this year will bring!
