Abbi and Justin's Golden Peak Foliage Wedding at Crisanver House in Shrewsbury, Vermont

In terms of the weather, getting married in October is a big gamble. It seems to either pour down rain (or snow!) or be the most glorious weather, with endless golden light, warm sunlight, and vibrant leaves. One glance at the photos, and you’ll see that Abbi and Justin won the lottery, and they totally deserve it, as they spend long days helping people in their community (Abbi is a nurse and Justin is a firefighter), and Saturday was the perfect celebration honoring them.

Some of our favorite parts of the day were how Abbi and Justin incorporated their loves into the day: Justin arrived to the ceremony in his Jeep Willys that he’s lovingly reconstructed, closely followed by Abbi’s nephew in his power wheels tractor and Justin and Abbi’s dogs made a quick visit to see their parents decked out in their wedding finery. We loved ducking into the woods with Abbi and Justin to take a break from the day and make some wedding portraits in the perfect fall light, catching up with them about their day and their upcoming honeymoon. And perhaps our favorite thing of all was the sunset dance party before dinner, where everyone, young and old, hit the dance floor with Abbi and Justin in the middle of it all.
