Lauren and Mike's Timeless, Elegant Wedding at the Boston Public Library in Boston, Massachusetts
With the sounds of the city half-muted in the background, the glow of the carefully-lit courtyard of the Boston Public Library illuminated Lauren and Mike as they said their vows, their family and friends taking in the quiet moment this past Saturday. It was a private, magical ceremony, something both Jeff and I talked about later as our favorite part of an absolutely delightful day to witness and photograph.
Photographing at the Boston Public Library- a grand, timeless jewel of the city- has long been a dream of mine, and I was thrilled when Lauren and Mike reached out earlier this year about us photographing their wedding. What made the day a total treat, was spending it with Lauren and Mike. We’ve had the pleasure of getting to know them over drinks at a few of their favorite places in the city this year, and felt 100% comfortable with them from the first meeting in May. We love their sweet, honest, funny personalities, and the way they compliment each other so well, and this made collaborating with them in such a beautiful place even more fun for us.
Saturday was also the last wedding of our busy Summer/Fall season, and we also spent the day reflecting and celebrating our season. This season we learned how to work together to juggle a full calendar while raising our baby, Lila, further streamline family photos, and continue to refine our style and quality of our images. We’re proud of what we’ve done, and Lauren and Mike’s wedding was the perfect way to cap off this season!
