Alex and Ben's Timeless Wedding and Backyard Reception in Taunton and Sandwich, Massachusetts
In a week where I’ve received multiple inquiries for weddings two years out, I photographed Alex and Ben’s wedding, which took them less than two months to plan the entire day. This is perfect proof that everyone has different ways of doing things, and regardless of the time that it takes to plan your wedding, it will be awesome, I promise.
Alex is the sister of Bill, whose intimate wedding I photographed back in August, and when she reached out in late September about her October wedding, I was excited to let her know I was still free! It was a treat getting to meet more of Bill’s family, and to get to know Alex and Ben, who are both quick-to-laugh, sweet people who are passionate about their families and their faith.
After their ceremony on Cape Cod, we all drove back to Ben’s parents’ home, which was decorated with all kinds of cozy fall touches, to enjoy a laid-back reception with a canoe full of drinks, lawn games, and parent dances by the swingset. My favorite part of the reception was the first dance which Alex and Ben (who have never taken dance lessons but absolutely nailed it) choreographed themselves with the help of YouTube!
