Ali and Kenny's Classy Waterfront Wedding at Basin Harbor Resort in Vergennes, Vermont
When I met Ali and Kenny for brunch in their Washington, DC neighborhood a few months ago, I didn't want it to be over. Before we got around to talking wedding details, we talked forever about just about everything, and it was so easy to feel like I had known them both for years. We got the same feeling from their family and friends over the two days we photographed their wedding festivities at Basin Harbor, where Kenny and his family grew up vacationing (It's always a treat to get to photograph more than one day or a wedding weekend as we get to know everyone extra well).
Not only did Ali and Kenny have wonderful company surrounding them, they had the best weather, and Jeff and I enjoyed finding moments in the abundant golden light around Basin Harbor, and watching vacationers jump on the water trampoline, paddleboard, and swim. Their band, A House On Fire, filled the dance floor the entire night, and Kenny's parents created the perfect finale by surprising everyone, Ali and Kenny included, with a fireworks show over the harbor.
