Kat and Dan's Golden Farmstead Wedding in Upperco, Maryland
Kat and Dan’s wedding gave us the opportunity to visit Jeff’s home state at one of the finest times of year: the golden-lit season of late October. For a few days we traded rugged mountainscapes and frost-nipped mornings for rolling farmland and milder days, and it was a delight to explore these landscapes throughout the day yesterday.
I met Kat while we were both photography students at RIT and we reconnected two years ago at Hannah and Andy’s wedding, where she was a bridesmaid. She started dating Dan a little while later- they connected over their passion for food and their city- Baltimore- among other things. Jeff and I were able to meet up with them this summer at one of ours, and their favorite places: Ocean City, Marland, where we realized they absolutely adored each other in their own unique, quiet manner.
For Kat and Dan, their wedding centered around three important pillars of their relationship- family, their home state of Maryland, and good food. The setting of the wedding, Kat’s brother’s farm a 30-minute drive from Baltimore, was the perfect place for their low-key wedding complete with a family-style dinner prepared from a food truck. We loved reconnecting with Kat and Dan and some of our close friends who were also at the wedding while we caught the perfect light throughout the late-fall day.
