Iceland

When we began our wedding business, one of the biggest pushes for us to develop the company was to help make our dreams into realities. This past week, we were able to live out one of our bigger dreams and travel to Iceland for seven days.

We rented a camper van and traveled up to the Westfjords of Iceland, a remote, mountainous area not often visited by tourists. In-between snacking on Skyr (Iceland's delicious idea of yogurt) and cruising around the winding roads listening to music, we found hidden hot springs on the beach and in a greenhouse full of flowering apple trees at Heydalur, the guesthouse we stayed at, and rode horses on the beach.

After leaving the magical Westfjords, we headed down to the south coast, well known for the abundant waterfalls and black sand beaches. We found more hidden hot springs, and walked behind waterfalls. On our last night, we took a twilight hike to a hot spring river and met some new friends (who offered us some of Iceland's famous fermented shark- Jeff was brave enough to try- me, not so much).

If you're still undecided about your honeymoon and are the adventurous type- we wholeheartedly recommend Iceland!
