Jill and Jeremy's Camp Wedding in Corinth, Vt
Set many miles down winding dirt roads and a long driveway, the site of Jill and Jeremy's wedding in Corinth, Vt., is a hidden treasure and was the perfect spot for their rustic, camp-style wedding. Jill's parents live here in an off-the-grid home for half the year, and Jill has memories of the place going back to her middle-school years, when she had camping trips with her youth group. It's also the place where Jeremy proposed to her, so it was more than fitting that they share their favorite spot with friends and family from both coasts. Many guests pitched tents a short walk from the venue, and the entire day had the best kind of summer camp vibe.
While the venue was perfect, it was really the people that made the day one of our favorites of the year. Jill and Jeremy's sweet ceremony was filled with many bursts of laughter and tears, and we kept finding many moments that were a testament to the closeness and comfort of Jill and Jeremy's families.
Some of our favorite parts of the day:
- All the D.I.Y. details lovingly created by members of Jill's family, especially this: Jill's father, Ken, has a clever home-brew station set up behind his house, and brewed up four different beers just for the wedding.
-With no cell service on the property, everyone was present in the moment, talking, laughing, and dancing!
-The entire reception was a big, laid-back party, with lawn games, a wood-fired pizza oven, family-style tables, the best photo booth we've ever seen, and some impromptu laughing yoga.
-While almost everyone danced well into the night, there was a big bonfire set up for those who wanted something a bit quieter (and just as warm!)
