Preview: Kimmie and Roy's Elegant Wedding in Newport, R.I.
After spending most of the day yesterday with Kimmie, I wasn't surprised when I was told later in the evening that she had won a local contest for the biggest smile when she was six years old. Throughout the day, it was almost impossible to catch Kimmie without her beautifully genuine smile, especially when Roy was by her side. Roy radiates a similar childlike joy, and his incredible sense of humor kept everyone around him giggling uncontrollably.
Kimmie and Roy were married at St. Mary's Church in Newport, the same church where John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy Onassis were married (on September 12, 1953, just one day apart from Kimmie and Roy's September 13th wedding!). After the wedding, we headed to Kimmie's parents beautiful home, where they had ample space to host all their family and friends for the reception (where absolutely everyone danced!)
Between the stunning scenery and the countless joyful moments, we found the day flew by in a colorful blur, and we looked forward to sorting through photos right after our drive back to Vermont.
