We’re thinking of moving our date- what are your policies?

We totally understand what you’re going through, and are here for you! Whether you’re actively planning on moving your date or are thinking of keeping your date but having a plan B, we have moved our booking calendar online and are updating it in real-time so you know what dates we’re currently free.

If you are considering moving your date to later in 2022-23: Check our calendar to see what dates are free- any date we are free, including Saturdays, you are welcome to reschedule with no added fee. Please let us know as soon as you do so, so we can reserve that date for you and update the online calendar for others to see. Your remaining two payments will move to two weeks before your new date, and one month after your new date.

Don’t want to move your date yet, but want to put a soft hold on a different date?: That’s great/understandable too! While we can’t guarantee a date unless you’ve officially moved your date, we can put a soft hold on a date for you. Here’s how it works: you reach out and let us know you’d like us to put a hold on a date. We’ll mark this on our online booking calendar as ON HOLD, so other couples looking at reschedule dates can see that someone else is interested in this date. If someone reaches out to book this date , we will give you a 48 hour period to make a decision before opening it up to the other person.

If you are considering moving your date to 2023: If your reschedule is within one year of your original date, there’s no additional fee. If you do decide to move to a Saturday that’s more than one year from your original date, we require a $750.00 rebooking fee that can be split between your final two payments. Please let us know as soon as you do so, so we can reserve that date for you and update the online calendar for others to see. Your remaining two payments will move to two weeks before your new date, and one month after your new date.

If you want to downsize your wedding: If you’re downsizing your wedding to anything above 40 people, there’s no need to let us know unless you’d like to scale your package down to 6 hours from an 8 hour package (we can rewrite your contract to lessen the payments). We’ll both still be there! If you’re downsizing your wedding to an intimate wedding (under 40 people), reach out, and we’ll talk about reformatting your package to something that works for your new schedule/format, and we’ll work to lessen what you’ll be paying us.

If you’re considering a creative solution: Thinking of eloping, moving your wedding to a different place (even out of state or country), or doing something cool? We still want to be on your team! Feel free to reach out over email so we can brainstorm a way to make your deposit work towards a different package, make traveling happen, or give you suggestions towards something awesome. We are open to be creative and flexible to whatever you decide, so don’t be afraid to ask.

What are other couples doing about their wedding dates?

Updated 7/2022

With most Covid cases currently very mild as this point, we are seeing the rest of the weddings for 2022 happen with zero restrictions. Some guests will be more comfortable wearing masks regardless of what Covid looks like at the moment, and that’s okay too! We will NEVER ask a guest to remove their mask for group photos. If you’re feeling worried, nervous, and want an experienced person to talk to, feel free to reach out and schedule a call.

What if you’re booked on a date we’re hoping to reschedule to?

If you end up rescheduling to a date we’re already booked (remember to check our booking calendar if you’re unsure), don’t fret! There’s a possibility we may be able to split up that day and work at two different weddings, depending on the date. If this is the case, we will each find a wonderful second photographer who is comparable to our style so each wedding will still have a strong two photographer team. If we cannot split up that day, we are happy to hire two trusted associate photographers with a similar style to ours who will photograph your wedding. We’ll handle all questions, payments, and editing, so you’ll still be working through us. If you don’t want to work with our associate photographers, we can issue you a gift certificate in the form of your deposit that you can use with us for family, anniversary, business, or any other kind of session with us at a later date.
